Bobcat Goldthwait Ends 30-Year Feud with Jerry Seinfeld

Goldthwait Extends Olive Branch After Seinfeld's Apology

Comedian Reflects on Longstanding Beef

Syracuse native Bobcat Goldthwait has broken his silence on his decades-long feud with Jerry Seinfeld, expressing a willingness to reconcile after Seinfeld's public apology.

The feud between the two comedians has been simmering for 30 years, dating back to an incident in which Seinfeld allegedly made derogatory remarks about Goldthwait's personal life. The rift was further aggravated when Goldthwait responded with his own critical comments about Seinfeld's comedy.

In a recent episode of his web series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," Seinfeld addressed the feud, admitting that he had been wrong to disparage Goldthwait back then. Seinfeld's apology prompted Goldthwait to respond on stage at a comedy show.

Goldthwait said that he was "pleasantly surprised" by Seinfeld's apology and that he appreciated the gesture. However, he also noted that he was not ready to forgive and forget just yet.

"I'm not going to say that I'm ready to hug him and kiss him," Goldthwait said. "But I'm willing to bury the hatchet."

Goldthwait's response has been met with mixed reactions from fans and critics. Some have praised him for his willingness to move on, while others have accused him of being too quick to forgive Seinfeld.

Regardless of the differing opinions, Goldthwait's decision to end the feud is seen as a positive step forward for both comedians and their fans.
