Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt thanked the club's travelling fans for their support after his side secured a place in the League One play-off final despite losing 3-2 to Barnsley in their semi-final.
The Wanderers came from behind twice to earn a draw in the second leg at Oakwell but ultimately lost 5-4 on aggregate. However, Evatt was proud of his players' performance and believes they can go on to win promotion at Wembley.
"The fans were incredible," said Evatt. "They never stopped singing all game and they really got behind the team. We're going to need them again at Wembley, but I know they'll be there in force."
Bolton will now face either Portsmouth or Exeter in the final at Wembley on May 29. Evatt is confident that his side can win promotion, but he knows they will need to be at their best.
"We're going to Wembley to win," said Evatt. "We know it's going to be a tough game, but we're confident in our ability. We've come through some dark places this season, but we're still standing. This club deserves to be back in the Championship, and we're going to give it our all to make that happen."
